Hey everybody,
I know it has been a very very long
time since my last blog but life has been a little crazy and things are finally
starting to wind down. Last week we finished up our last set of block exams for
the Pharm D class of 2013, this means no more late nights studying and I no
longer have any excuses to miss a 5:30 am masters practice.
As far as the training is going I am firing on all cylinders
and making some real progress. For our spring break I had the chance to visit
some family in the beautiful Dorchester, SC (just outside of Charleston). I
spent most of the week on the bike with some run work as well, however I was
not able to access a pool so I had to pay for that when I got back to Lexington
with some long swim sets.
The highlight of my SC trip was
getting to spend some quality time with my brother before his deployment to the
middle-east. He left on March 30th and has made it safely to his
destination. We are not sure how long he will be gone (9-12 months) but we are
looking forward to a safe and soon return.
With school finally winding down
and the race season coming up really quick I can hardly wait until Rev 3
Knoxville. Last year the season started with NOLA 70.3 in April but I had to
push it back this year due to some schedule conflicts, we had a great experience
last year racing in the Big Easy and I wish all the athletes making the trip
the best of luck, Have a Great Race!
Well, its time to get back to work,
and I promise to update the blog more often. Until then train hard!
